Rustic Tennessee Wedding - Scott & Chelsea at Arrowhead Ranch, Part 1

When it comes to weddings, one of my favorite elements of the day is movement. Everyone is moving, hustling and bustling to prep for the ceremony and then party at the reception. I love telling the story of a wedding day by capturing that movement. Toss in a little wind that picks up the dress and veil, and I'm even happier. So for Scott & Chelsea's rustic chic outdoor wedding at Arrowhead Ranch, I was pretty much smiling all day while the wind gently blew. Chelsea wore such a beautiful, simple wedding dress that moved so perfectly when the wind picked it up. And her flying veil was the perfect compliment. The best part about her fun wedding dress? It has pockets! Pockets on a wedding dress are just about my favorite thing. She and Scott were both so genuine and sweet, truly appreciating the day and celebrating with their family and friends. Their ceremony was set up next to the river, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Although there were lots of sweet details, including a lemonade stand, my favorite detail was the rows of beautiful wood benches for her guests to sit on during the ceremony. Chelsea’s dad made each and every one of the benches, which adds even more of a personal touch. In this post I’ve included Scott & Chelsea’s first look, plus their portraits and photos with their fun wedding party. Check back soon for their sweet ceremony and perfectly laid back reception.
