Nashville Film Photographer - Downtown Engagement Session
I love shooting all soon-to-be-brides but there’s just something effortlessly collaborative about working with another wedding professional. They know exactly what they want and they aren’t bashful about communicating it. This makes my job so much easier and often results in some truly creative, style-specific shots. Such was the case on the super cold winter’s day when I shot Cedarwood wedding coordinator Marissa and her fiancé Mark in downtown Nashville. She’s always super fun to work with at other people’s weddings and her engagement session was filled with that same energetic vibe. We snuck down alleys and up against interesting walls as tourists flooded out of the local honky tonks. The streets were super crowded. At one point, we darted out into the middle of the street to capture the wide angle view of Broadway. The crowds, the neon, the distinctively Nashville architecture … it all combined for some truly fresh engagement photos. Marissa also wanted a shot with the Nashville skyline in the background for the couple’s save the dates. She braved temperature in the teens in a sleeveless dress to get them. See what I mean … a bride who know exactly what she wants. I love it! Want more engagement session inspiration? Be sure to follow me on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
