Legend holds that rain on your wedding day means good luck. Some say it's an omen of a long, happy marriage full of children. Others hold that the raindrops represent the last tears the bride will ever shed. If rain's a good omen for a wedding, then it must be true for a proposal as well. Rain certainly didn't slow down Austin the day he collaborated with his soon-to-be fiancee's best friend and the oh so creative Ashley Colton at Southern Social Events on a surprise proposal for his beloved, Lindsey. As an acoustic songstress serenaded the two, Austin got down and one knee to propose to the love of his life in an open air pavilion at Bloomsbury Farm filled with candles. His thoughtful proposal even came with a three-page love letter. Friends and family joined the happy couple afterwards for a champagne toast and cake. Style Me Pretty featured the proposal session (including a video of the actual proposal) on their March 20 blog.
