I'm a people-shooter.
Yes, I love all the intimate details of a traditional wedding ... the colorful burst of a floral centerpiece ... the sparkly arch of the bride's high heel.
But really, I just love capturing people's faces on their special day. I love the look on a groom's face the first time he sees his bride or the twinkle in the father of the bride's eye during the first dance.
Tim and Gina's elegant winter wedding at Nashville's Hermitage Hotel incorporated all the things that get me excited about a wedding ... an intimate setting, personal touches, and lots and lots of people shooting.
The bride and groom eschewed a large, traditional ceremony for a small affair for just 40 of their family and closest friends. A southern-style welcome dinner in honor of the groom and a traditional, Italian family-style wedding dinner in honor of the bride book-ended the traditional Greek Orthodox ceremony.
Designers re-imagined Gina's mother's wedding dress into a gorgeous lace, mermaid-style wedding gown. She added vintage fur stoles and elbow-length gloves to the look for a splash of elegance and warmth on the cold, winter day. Tim also designed Gina's engagement ring using an heirloom center stone that belonged to Gina's grandmother.
In addition to the ceremony and dinner at the Hermitage Hotel, we captured some oh-so-Tennessee shots at War Memorial Plaza.
Tim and Gina recently welcomed a baby boy. They'll participate in my Baby's First Year Package, which includes newborn portraits plus sessions throughout baby's first year. For more information, email me.
